Phyllis Rees has been painting intimate views of nature since she came to

Downeast Maine in 1975.

In 2006 Acadia National Park published this book of Phyllis Rees' paintings of scenes in the Park and the surrounding Mount Desert Island. The first four rows of paintings below are those that are included in the book.

The book includes a map showing the location that inspired each painting, and historical information about each location.
